A Vegan Cinco de Mayo Brunch

Celebrate May 5th with Mexi-spired twists on classic brunch fare (dont worry—mimosas are included).
When Ayinde Howell opened New York City’s first vegan pop-up restaurant last June, people noticed. And by people, we mean The New York Times, Grub Street, and The Village Voice. Food critics and amateur palates alike flipped for Howell’s innovative vegan food, but three days later, Wildflower was no more. Luckily for West Coasters, however, Howell’s Wildflower pop up restaurant is back, this time blooming on the streets of San Francisco this Cinco de Mayo weekend. For those of us who can’t sample his street-food menu of Crazy Jamaican Sliders, Beer-Battered Tempeh Tacos, and Chipotle Mac & Yease, Howell shared this exclusive brunch menu with VegNews readers. We might not all live in the City by the Bay, but at least we can re-create Wildlfower in our kitchens.
Wow every guest with this vegan Cinco de Mayo-themed brunch menu:
Coconut-Lime Mimosas
Mexican Hot Chocolate Waffles
Mexican Hot Chocolate Syrup
Red Potato and Vegan Chorizo Hash
Refried Chipotle & Lemon Pinto Beans
Homemade Tortilla Chips
