Redman and Method Man Adopt Plant-Based Diets

The hip-hop stars are following in Wu-Tang Clan bandmate GZA’s footsteps by taking up a meat-free diet.

Wu-Tang Clan band members and hip-hop icons Redman and Method Man have ditched meat in favor of plant-based foods following years of ridicule from their bandmate. Wu-Tang’s GZA, a longtime vegetarian, told redbullusa.com that he frequently poked fun at his friends for dining on animal products. “I used to tease Meth all the time about him eating steaks … but he just recently came up to me and said both he and Redman are vegetarians now.” GZA also revealed his tour mate Killer Mike is making an effort to eat more greens as well. The musicians join a growing list of recognizable black men adopting plant-based diets.
