Russell Simmons to be Honored at MFA Event

A star-studded evening celebrates the vegan business magnate and the animal-welfare organization’s work for animals.

Dedicated vegan and hip-hop business mogul Russell Simmons will be honored at Mercy For Animals Inspired reception November 3 in New York City. The evening of cocktails, vegan hors d’oeuvres, and desserts at Ink48 Hotel’s world-renowned Press Lounge will celebrate the animal-welfare organization’s landmark work on behalf of farmed animals as well as recognize Simmons’ dedication and compassion for sentient creatures. The reception and awards ceremony will also feature honorary committee members including Moby, Arian Foster, and Kathy Freston, and a host committee comprised of recognizable vegan faces such as Joshua Katcher, Victoria Moran, and VegNews Publisher Joseph Connelly.
