Fur-Free Fashion Competition Reveals Finalists

HSUS-sponsored animal-friendly fashion design competition announces its 2012 regional winners.

In the recent Cool vs. Cruel fashion design challenge, the eighth annual event sponsored by The Humane Society of the United States and The Art Institutes, 19 students from AI schools competed for the best animal-friendly designs. Judging the event were well-known fashion industry personalities including vegan designer John Bartlett, Olsen Haus designer Elizabeth Olsen, and founder of The Discerning Brute Joshua Katcher. Some of this year’s 19 regional victors include Joshua Aponte from The Art Institute of New York City, Hannah Jones from The Art Institute of Indianapolis, and Cheryl Vick from The Art Institute of Houston.
