New Video Explores Human-Animal Relationship

Vegan dancer James Koroni and blogger Joshua Katcher debut an artistic video piece shot with rescued animals at Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary.

Vegan dancer and choreographer James Koroni has debuted a new video art piece entitled “SUBJECT,” which considers the philosophical implications of who is a subject is, what we subject others to, and whether or not a subject is worth our consideration. Shot at Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, Koroni, who is also the founder and creative director of dance and performing arts community Enforced Arch, performed for and with rescued animals in an effort to uncover the intimacy of the animal-human-self relationship. Speaking of the animals, Koroni reveals, “As a performer I evoke emotional responses … They are complex and sentient beings and all respond as individuals.” The video is also in collaboration with Perhaps Media, Inc. founder and Discerning Brute blogger Joshua Katcher.
