Ellen DeGeneres Makes December A No-Kill Month

The funnywoman and animal activist asks Twitter followers to join the No-Kill December campaign.

Talk show host and vegan Ellen DeGeneres has joined Best Friends Animal Society’s “No-Kill December” campaign, and is calling on Angelenos to commit to helping animals for the month. DeGeneres took to Twitter, tweeting, “If you love animals as much as I do, find out how you can make December a no kill month in LA with @NKLA.” The campaign calls for people to adopt instead of buy companion animals and offers a discount on 12 types of animals. If adopting is not a possibility, the animal-welfare campaign encourages others to foster or volunteer at local shelters instead. Additionally, a donation to the campaign is welcome in helping save more animals from being euthanized.
