Gardein Now Available in Select Baja Fresh Locations

The vegan meat company will have a trial run of its chicken and beef products in Baja Fresh locations in California.

Canada-based convenience foods Gardein has partnered with Mexican fast-food chain Baja Fresh to offer meatless options at two Orange County, CA locations. Displayed prominently next to BF’s standard menu with an advertisement to “Go Meat-Free the Baja Fresh Way,” the Gardein chicken and beef options are available for all menu items. “We’ve had the best reaction on our social media about the partnership with Baja Fresh. It’s clear that people want these meatless options,” says Russell Barnett, vice president of marketing at Gardein. Continuing the company’s efforts to help people eat less meat, Gardein is collaborating with the Los Angeles City Council, which recently adopted a city-wide Meatless Monday resolution. In addition, Gardein is set to open a tasting kitchen in Marina del Rey, CA in early 2013.
