Belgian Designer Premieres New Vegan Shoe Line

Eco-friendly, cruelty-free shoes are spotlighted in Mats Rombaut’s Autumn Winter 2013-14 shoe line.

Rombaut shoes are a well-traveled footwear concept––based in Paris, designed by Belgian designer Mats Rombaut, and constructed in Italy with Ugandan fig tree bark and Amazonian rubber. Rombaut’s eco-friendly, toxin-free shoes are also totally free of animal products. Mats Rombaut comes from a background of developing and producing men’s accessories with Paris’s Lanvin menswear and Domir Doma, a Croatian designer. Five-plus years into his design career, Rombaut is stepping out on his own; the Autumn Winter 2013-14 vegan shoe line will be his first collection. The collection can be viewed at the Rombaut showroom in Paris, on Facebook, and on the official website
