Michigan Vegan Food Cart to Become Restaurant

Vegan eatery The Lunch Room will open a brick-and-mortar location in Ann Arbor’s Kerrytown.

The Lunch Room is the newest addition to Ann Arbor, MI’s vegan restaurant scene. Owners Joel Panozzo and Phillis Engelbert built their business and devoted following over the last two years, getting their start in 2010 by catering private events out of a temporary pop-up, and then expanding to a food cart in downtown Ann Arbor. With the new property right next door to the farmer’s market, TLR will use local products for its menu. Dishes to be served will include: barbecue tofu sandwiches, veggie tacos, udon noodles, tempeh reubens, breakfast and brunch fare, gluten-free items, and rotating specials. The Lunch Room is set to open in June in Ann Arbor’s Kerrytown neighborhood.
