Alicia Silverstone Offers Up Veg Dating Advice

Long-time vegan actress Alicia Silverstone shares her thoughts and experiences on vegan dating.

With two new books slated for 2014, The Kind Diet author Alicia Silverstone has more kind living advice to share on her blog. While Silverstone suggests that vegans not limit their options to those who are already veg, she stresses the importance of being open-minded and offers ways to introduce compassionate living to potential partners. The actress believes cooking plant-based meals together or enjoying a Meatless Monday dinner at a participating restaurant might do the trick. For the whimsical, she says try bringing a lover-to-be a surprise meat-free lunch or veganize their favorite dish. However, criticizing food choices or lecturing someone on veganism, Silverstone writes, is a quick way to make the romance go sour.
