While Silverstone suggests that vegans not limit their options to those who are already veg, she stresses the importance of being open-minded and offers ways to introduce compassionate living to potential partners. The actress believes cooking plant-based meals together or enjoying a Meatless Monday dinner at a participating restaurant might do the trick. For the whimsical, she says try bringing a lover-to-be a surprise meat-free lunch or veganize their favorite dish. However, criticizing food choices or lecturing someone on veganism, Silverstone writes, is a quick way to make the romance go sour.
