Vegan Meals Help Beyoncé Lose Pregnancy Pounds

After giving birth to her daughter, the vocal superstar learns that one vegan meal a day can help keep the pounds away.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, songstress Beyoncé Knowles divulged that she gained nearly 60 pounds while pregnant with her daughter Blue Ivy. In order to tip the scales back in her favor, Knowles’ vegan trainer, Marco Borges, had her do intense cardio workouts and eat one vegan meal a day. “This typically gets people to eat more greens than they normally would,” says Borges to Life and Style magazine. The super star’s plant-based proclivities paid off, and it wasn’t long before she was back in her pre-pregnancy performance condition, serenading fans and receiving critical acclaim for her Super Bowl halftime performance.
