Alicia Silverstone Set to Star in Lifetime Drama

Animal rights activist and actress Alicia Silverstone will play a human resources director in a new TV show.

Alicia Silverstone recently took to her blog to dish out dating advice for vegans looking for love. Now, the plant-based actress has signed on to star in a new Lifetime drama, HR, about running a human resources department. After suffering a head injury, her uptight character gets a new perspective on life, breaking away from buttoned-up corporate life and pushing for departmental change, reports Deadline Hollywood. Lifetime picked up the HR pilot nearly a year ago, but was slow to move forward until the right lead actress was cast. The network gave production the green light after deciding on Silverstone.
