Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine founding president and clinical researcher Neal Barnard stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on May 24 to talk about vegan foods that do more than simply fill you up. Barnard took from his new book, Power Foods, and shared with readers how pasta and white bread can help you sleep better, how grapes might reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s disease, and how to avoid unhealthy ingredients in baked desserts by replacing sugar and fat with fruit juice and applesauce, among other helpful tips.
