CNN Does Exposé on Factory Farm Animal Cruelty

The mainstream media organization reports on the abuse and public health hazards activist investigations have revealed.

Earlier this week, CNN ran an exposé on the abuse perpetrated against animals by the factory farming industry. The news agency showed an undercover investigation conducted by the activist group Compassion Over Killing, in which workers at the North Carolina-based chicken supplier were filmed burying birds alive, as well as a People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals undercover investigation of a Wisconsin hog farm, which showed pigs being deprived of veterinary care, some of whom were so sick that their intestines were hanging out. CNN reports that both COK and PETA are pressing for the authorities to prosecute the farms. The news source also noted that the revealing investigations of America’s food industry are under fire by politicians, who want to institute ag-gag laws that criminalize the undercover footage that has helped bring the animal abuse and public health hazards on factory farms to light.
