Actress Amy Smart Promotes Cruelty-Free Products

Smart collaborates with the Leaping Bunny Program to promote items that are not tested on animals.

Actress Amy Smart recently collaborated with the Leaping Bunny Program on a campaign and video discussing alternatives to animal testing for cosmetics and products. “Animal testing is brutal, archaic, and unnecessary,” Smart said in the public service announcement. “Unfortunately, there is no law protecting animals from these senseless tests in the United States, but you have a choice.” Smart also appeared on television program Access Hollywood to promote the Leaping Bunny certification on everyday items. “I partnered with Leaping Bunny because they are all about having cruelty-free products, so it gives consumers the power to buy products that aren’t tested on animals.” The partnership is part of the Leaping Bunny Program’s newly updated website and iPhone app, which now scans barcodes and lists more than 650 cruelty-free companies.
