Angela Simmons— the niece of music mogul and author of The Happy Vegan Russell Simmons—has partnered with Olympic gold medalist track star Sanya Richards Ross to create Foofi & Bella, a new luxury cruelty-free fashion line debuting today. Pieces in the collection—such as coats, vests, and jackets—will be made from acrylic and polyester blends that “pay realistic homage to mink, suede, lynx, and shearling” in colors such as canary yellow, royal blue, ebony, charcoal grey, aubergine, and olive. The duo created the brand to provide animal product-free fashion alternatives, which is also the motivation behind other new vegan-friendly labels such as Melissa McCarthy Seven7 by Melissa McCarthy and Pamela Anderson’s recently-released shoe lines. Foofi & Bella will debut its collection tonight at Technogym in New York City.
