Actress and model Jaime King—known for her roles in films such as Pearl Harbor, Sin City, and cult-classic Slackers—is set to launch a new vegan makeup line this week. King collaborated with Los Angeles-based beauty brand ColourPop Cosmetics to create a travel-friendly collection geared toward people of all races, creeds, ages, and genders. The kit will include items that can be interchangeably used such as blush that doubles as a lipstick, eye shadows that multi-task as blush, and a specially formulated product that transforms matte pigments into shimmering tones. “I want it to be for the girl next door, I want it to be for transgender kids, I want it to be for the boy born in the wrong body, and the girl born in the wrong body. Anyone that feels like they have something to hide even though they’re innately beautiful,” the actress recently told InStyle Magazine. King’s compassionate makeup line is one of many new vegan options—including Gwyneth Paltrow’s edible collection for beauty giant Juice Beauty—to hit stores this year.
