Whole Foods Market recently released a frozen vegan pizza under its 365 Everyday Value brand. Brand manager Emily Wright told Latest Vegan News that “shoppers love Whole Foods Market for its vegan selection, which is why we are excited to introduce the 365 Everyday Value Vegan Pizza to our line-up.” The $4.99 pizza features a whole-wheat crust and toppings such as olives, tomatoes, and Daiya mozzarella-style vegan cheese shreds. According to a recent report by millennial habit-focused research institute Center for Generational Kinetics, 38 percent of “pizza lovers” are looking for dairy-free options—for health, ethical, and environmental reasons—and Whole Food’s new vegan pizza is positioned to tap into this trend.
