Unisex boutique Drizzle + Shine opened in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood on Wednesday providing locals with ethically sourced, animal-free apparel. The shop’s owner is 16-year vegan Jean White, who told area media outlet Capitol Hill Seattle that her diet extends to her clothing, which she wants to be fair trade, organic, recycled, USA-made, and free from animal products. “We specialize in items that are kind to the earth and animals and that are made by people who are treated fairly,” the boutique’s mission statement reads. A brick-and-mortar incarnation of White’s fashion blog of the same name, Drizzle + Shine sells shoes, clothing, underwear, soap, and accessories for both men and women. In addition to this vegan boutique, Seattle’s vegan scene has recently seen a rapid expansion with the opening of vegan bakery and ice cream shop Seattle Cookie Counter, tiki bar No Bones Beach Club, and brand-new eatery Verjus.
