By CHLOE, the critically acclaimed, vegan fast-casual restaurant based in New York City, officially opened a second location in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake neighborhood today. The West Coast outpost is part of the launch of a new, lower-cost grocery store concept by Whole Foods Market—dubbed 365 by Whole Foods Market—where the full dine-in by CHLOE eatery serves as the first “Friend of 365.” “I’m so proud to bring by CHLOE to my hometown,” co-founder and Executive Chef Chloe Coscarelli said. “Guests can expect to enjoy by CHLOE staples our New York City diners have grown to love, and we’re looking forward to using California’s beautiful produce and seasonal ingredients for our market specials, plus a few other surprises, exclusive to our Silver Lake location.” Since opening its doors in New York City’s Greenwich Village in July, the response to by CHLOE has been so overwhelming that six additional locations were slated for opening (one in Boston, plus a bakery and three restaurants in New York City), with Silver Lake’s being the first to come to fruition. Anticipating the eatery’s signature offerings such as guacamole- and tortilla strip-topped burgers and Kale Cookies + Cream ice cream, patrons began lining up five hours in advance for the 11am opening.
