Food news outlet Eater recently published a roundup of rave reviews for Fare Well—a new Washington, DC-based diner opened last month by famed Sticky Fingers Eats & Sweets owner Doron Petersan. Restaurant review guide Zagat commented on the diner’s expert “’50s sensibility” décor, while Instagrammers raved about the food. “Cashew mozzarella is seriously to die for. Pesto, capers, and fresh tomato are the perfect touch,” @syntaxsugar wrote, while Yelp-user @jl_weber said, “S’mores shake with a shot of bourbon. Tastes so good I can’t believe it’s vegan.” Petersan’s concept behind the diner—which serves Greek and Eastern European fare such as knishes, pierogi, and moussaka, along with a large selection of cocktails—is to show that a plant-based menu can be comforting, accessible, and delicious.
