Coffee powerhouse Peet’s Coffee & Tea has unveiled its lineup of seasonal fall drinks, which includes a veganizeable Pumpkin Latte, Pumpkin Chai Latte, Dark Chocolate Pumpkin Mocha, and blended frappé called Pumpkin Javiva. Made with espresso, steamed milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg, the chain’s Pumpkin Latte can be made vegan simply by substituting dairy milk for almond or soy milk, and can be made more indulgent by adding vegan coconut whipped cream, which the chain introduced this summer. Both the Dark Chocolate Pumpkin Mocha and ice-blended Pumpkin Javiva similarly can be veganized with a simple dairy swap-out and by substituting the dairy whipped cream for the coconut whipped cream. A vegan Pumpkin Chai Latte is a coffee-free option made with masala tea, spices, pumpkin syrup, and non-dairy milk. All four varieties are available at Peet’s 236 stores nationwide until November 1. In other coffee-related vegan news, this month will also see the long-awaited introduction of almond milk at Starbucks stores.
