Star-Studded Animal-Rights Gala Raises Record $1.4 Million

Kat Von D and Moby among the celebs that came out for Mercy For Animals’ Hidden Heroes Gala.

Mercy For Animals (MFA) held its 2nd Annual Hidden Heroes Gala last week in downtown Los Angeles to a star-studded reception, bringing in $1.4 million—a record for the animal-rights organization. Compassionate celebrities such as Kat Von D, Moby, Kevin Nealon, Mya, Evanna Lynch, and Russell Simmons were amongst those in attendance. The Gala—which supported MFA’s efforts to expose cruelty to farmed animals through their undercover investigations—was hosted by Marco Antonio Regil and Daisy Fuentes, and included a VIP reception, gourmet dinner, silent auction, and awards ceremony.
