Dr. Oz to Air Guide to Going Vegan

The popular show continues its cruelty-free coverage with a new segment aimed at dispelling common myths of going vegan.

Tomorrow’s episode of The Dr. Oz Show will feature a segment entitled “The Beginners Guide to Going Vegan Without Going Crazy.” The segment will welcome two vegan guests: registered dietitian Maya Feller and acclaimed co-author of Veganomicon Terry Hope Romero. “If you think vegan is just salad,” Dr. Oz says in a teaser clip for the segment, “think again.” The show will explore coconut bacon, plant-based pancakes, and feature side-by-side comparisons of vegan cheese and its animal-based counterparts to show viewers the versatility of vegan food. The segment is the latest of Dr. Oz’s recent discussions of plant-based foods, including an appearance earlier this month on The Wendy Williams Show where he touted the benefits of ditching animal products for the new year.
