New York City-based vegan eatery The Cinnamon Snail will open a second location in the new City Acres food hall in the Financial District neighborhood of Manhattan today. To retain customers’ interest, this location will serve a new menu featuring a few signature dishes (including the Korean BBQ Seitan—kimchi, smoked chili grilled seitan, and greens, and served on a tortilla grilled with chili butter) and new menu items such as Peking Seitan Fries, three sandwiches (Monster Style Breakfast Sandwich, Gochujang Glazed Crispy Seitan, and Cambodian Crispy Tofu), and Almond Challah French Toast—served with smoked almonds, maple raspberry sauce, and drizzled with an almond and cinnamon bun glaze. The eatery’s famous doughnuts will also be available, and Cinnamon Snail will offer a vegan brunch and breakfast menu until noon on weekdays and all day on weekends. Cinnamon Snail was founded by chef Adam Sobel as a food truck (which still operates) in New Jersey on Valentine’s Day 2010 and landed its first brick-and-mortar location last year at The Pennsy—a new food hall near commuter hub Penn Station. The City Acres location of Cinnamon Snail joins fellow vegan eatery Beyond Sushi—which planted its fifth location at the food hall this week.
