Vegan Doctor Hosts Plant-Based Special on PBS

Tonight at 8pm ET, vegan doctor Michael Greger, MD will appear in a new special on PBS titled How Not to Die, which is also the name of his New York Times best-selling book. On the show, Greger will discuss the 10 most deadly diseases (such as stroke, cancer, and heart disease) and offer advice about how plant-based food can be used to treat and prevent them. Viewers will discover what the doctor calls “the best kept secret in medicine” and learn plant-based recipes that promote well-being. The show will simultaneously stream on Greger’s website Nutritionfacts.org, a resource the doctor designed to educate the public regarding the power of animal-free diets. Greger has been instrumental in promoting the adoption of a plant-based diet from a medical standpoint and was recently featured in documentary What the Health—a film that has inspired many viewers to adopt a plant-based diet.
