Vegan Cupcake Decorating Studio Opens in Miami

Miami-based vegan bakery Bunnie Cakes recently expanded into an innovative new concept: a vegan cake decorating studio. The new studio—which is located in the Edgewater neighborhood behind the bakery’s original shop—invites guests to purchase packages that include everything needed for decorating sweet treats. The package comes with either six large, fresh-baked, and unfrosted cupcakes or a five-inch, three-layer cake (in a choice of vanilla, chocolate, or funfetti flavor) that guests can decorate with three buttercream colors, three fondant balls, and two items from the “goodie bar”—such as rainbow sprinkles, gummy bears, or candy hearts. While the shop is child-friendly, owner Mariana Cortez says adults can also enjoy the festivities over a latte made with almond milk from the shop’s coffee bar. The studio plans to host birthday parties, decorating competitions, corporate team building events, and more.
