Pittsburgh’s Major League Baseball (MLB) stadium PNC Park will host its first vegan night on September 26. The event—”Veggin’ Out at the Ballpark!”—will be hosted by MLB team the Pittsburgh Pirates, in collaboration with local organization Meatless Monday Pittsburgh. Guests will be treated to a full vegan menu including chips with French onion dip, corn chips with smashed avocado salsa, a chopped salad loaded with grilled vegetables, an ultimate vegan burger, buffalo cauliflowers with vegan ranch dipping sauce, sweet potato tacos, and watermelon with berries for dessert. Each $45 ticket to the event includes food and a corner box seat to that night’s Pirates vs. Baltimore Orioles game. PNC Park is a mainstay on People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ annual list of vegetarian- and vegan-friendly ballparks around the country.
