Vegan Marijuana Farm to Open in Nevada

Next month, nine states—California, Nevada, Arizona, Maine, Massachusetts, North Dakota, Florida, Arkansas, and Montana—will be voting on legalizing marijuana for medical and recreational use. Ahead of the historic vote, Nevada-based Green Leaf Farms updated its shareholders on the progress of its veganic farming operations. CEO Mark Bradley informed shareholders that the $2.5 million that Green Leaf raised in funding would go toward completing construction of its 7,000 square-foot cultivation space, securing major vendors, and hiring a management team—including growers Jae Benjamin and Corey Crosser. Benjamin specializes in GMO-free growing while Crosser is an expert in veganic farming and will be using “several cutting-edge medical strains which are 100% vegan with no pesticides.” Operations at Green Leaf Farm is set to commence in November, providing the state’s residents vote to legalize marijuana for recreational use.
