Vegan Clothes and Cosmetics at Fall Fashion Week

Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart of vegan fashion house Vaute Couture shows that vegan is in vogue with ethically inspired clothing.

Cruelty-free chic hits the runway with the independent vegan fashion house Vaute Couture putting on a solo show for the New York Fall Fashion Week on February 6 at Eyebeam Studios. The models will sport designer Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart’s new Sailor Moon-inspired clothing line. Compassion will also be incorporated into cosmetics: eco-friendly beauty expert Rebecca Casciano Hill will be heading the makeup front, applying DeVita Natural Skin Care products and hair will be styled by a team from Manhattan’s ethical beauty boutique, Salon Champu. "We look forward to showing people that being vegan/veg can be fashionable and also wearable, from the everyday look to the runway and everywhere in between,” notes Cherlyanne DeVita, president and CEO of DeVita.
