Hi there Sam! We had such an overwhelming response to our 1st trip to India with multiple requests to schedule a second one. So we did! However, we'll be doing more trips in the future to other exciting destinations, so keep your eyes peeled. Feel free to join the VegNews Vacations group on Facebook for more details: http://www.facebook.com/vegnewsvacations?v=wall

Sam, don't spoil it for other people who want to go on the India trip and couldn't go the first time (or the second time...any other February would have been perfect for me, but in 2011 that's the week we're planning my mother's 90th birthday party...so I'm going to miss THIS trip, too...and I, unlike Sam, hope you will offer yet ANOTHER India trip for Winter 2012).

India is a beautiful and interesting country, however, you really do not want to visit between the second week of June thru December as this is monsoon season. Monsoon season in Asia is not like monsoon season in the US. Between December and June there will rarely be a single drop of rain but by the 2nd or 3rd week of June it will rain (in varying degrees) 24x7 for the next 5 to 6 months. NOT a fun vacation.

@AimingForVegan- that was very presumptuous of you. i wasn't spoiling it for anyone, it'd already been chosen and planned out. i was simply stating that, as someone that saw last year's trip to india book fast (congrats!), i was excited to see what new adventure awaited us to participate in. if it's going to be india every year, well...just look at at the magazine's facebook page to see many others, like me, who are hoping for a new locale for a wonderful vegan vacation :) maybe you should have brought your mom along to the 2011 indian trip :)

I wasn't able to do this trip, but will be living in India for a few months with my husband's family later this year. I was wondering if you have any tips for living vegan in India that you could share. Our Indian family finds it hard to imagine not using milk products so they aren't a very good resource for us. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I too, would like to see more of these in the next year ??to anywhere. I think this is a great way to travel internationally while saving money and not having to worry about finding food!
