PETA EV Stations
PETA will use electric-vehicle charging stations to advertise a meat-free diet.
October 26, 2010
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has announced plans to display meat-free messages on the new electric-vehicle charging stations to be installed in Boston. Three electric charging stations are set to be installed in early 2011 as an incentive to reduce gas emissions in the city by 25 percent by 2020. Tracy Reiman, executive vice president of PETA, expressed that while people showing the environmental initiative to switch to an environmental vehicle is commendable, the organization advocates that people take a further step by going vegan in order to demonstrate a commitment to the environment.
