Veg Miss World 2010

On October 30, vegetarian Alexandria Mills of Louisville, Ky., was crowned Miss World 2010 in the southern Chinese city of Sanya. Mills has been reported saying that she is veg and enjoys eating Italian food, especially a variety of pastas. Mills, 18, recently graduated from high school and ran on the motto: “The best things in life are worth waiting for, fighting for, believing in, and just never letting go of it.” Being from Kentucky, some of the other contestants gave Mills the nickname “KFC,” which she said was “ironic,” because she is vegetarian.
