Daiya Shutters VegNews

Today, cruelty-free cheese company Daiya launches its retail packaging in Whole Foods locations across the country. In response, VegNews Magazine has announced that it will no longer function as a vegan lifestyle publication, but rather as a vegan cheese-eating outpost. Early reports indicate that several of the magazine’s popular blogs may also halt production, with the exception of its award-winning Café VegNews blog, which will now be updated hourly and dedicated solely to foodstuffs covered in Daiya. Attempts to reach the VegNews staff for comment were unsuccessful, and resulted only in loud chewing noises and wild shouts of “April Fools!”
