Sticky Fingers Best Bakery

Last week, Washington City Paper announced the winners of its 2010 Best of DC awards, and vegan bakery Sticky Fingers won Best Bakery in the citywide competition. The awards were determined by polling readers, and Sticky Fingers was the only cruelty-free bakery competing for the title. The compassionate confectioners are also the only all-vegan establishment to be nominated and win in the entire reader-based contest. Earlier this month, the bakery made it into the final round of voting in a cupcake contest held by The Washingtonian’s Best Bites food blog, but lost to Lavender Moon bakery.
