On Monday, dairy-free ice cream shop NiceCream Vegan Ice Cream celebrated a soft opening in Los Angeles, Calif., offering cruelty-free soft serve and milkshakes. The raw, organic eatery is the first dairy-free ice cream shop to open in LA, and invites locals to attend its grand opening day festivities on Saturday, May 15. Menu items include banana splits, peaches-and-cream milkshakes, and toppings such as cacao nibs and raw chocolate syrup. NiceCream also sell its ice cream by the pint, as well as a variety of prepackaged baked treats. Mollie Engelhart, daughter of Café Gratitude owners Matthew and Terces Engelhart, is the opener and operator of the shop.
