WildFlower, New York City’s first vegan pop-up restaurant, is currently raising funds through the fundraising platform Kickstarter. The brainchild of vegan chef Ayinde Howell, freelance executive chef and founder of ieatgrass.com, WildFlower will open for a week in Manhattan in late spring, and offer classic American, bistro-style, raw fusion, and gluten-free food. In addition, WildFlower will offer brunch, including stuffed French toast, pancakes, grits, and Reese’s Cup waffles. Howell is currently trying to raise $17,000 on Kickstarter, which will go towards rental fees, labor, and food costs. Sample menus, a video, and photos of Howell’s creations are available on WildFlower’s fundraising site.
