According to Nation’s Restaurant News, two new vegetarian trends are popping up in restaurants across the country—the rise of veggie burgers being offered at burger joints and more veggie menu choices for consumers—as the demand increases for healthy options. Several burger shops like Burger Lounge in San Diego, Calif., and Elevation Burger in Arlington, Va., crafted their own veggie burgers to tempt vegetarians and omnivores alike. Similarly, the newspaper reported that plant-based eateries such as The Veggie Grill, Native Foods, Real Food Daily, and Maoz Vegetarian are seeing growth in sales as well as soaring popularity even among non-veg diners.
