Inaba Hosting HSUS Awards

Dancing with the Stars judge and animal lover Carrie Ann Inaba is slated to host the Humane Society of the United States’ 26th-annual Genesis Awards, scheduled to air on Animal Planet in May. Inaba, who became a vegetarian in November after watching the documentary Forks Over Knives, says she’s honored to be involved, saying, “In a busy awards season, the Genesis Awards stands out as an event that has true meaning in the larger scope of things—it’s the Oscars for animals and the people in the media who give voice to their plight.” Animal-friendly celebrities joining Inaba at the ceremony include The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco and talk-show host Bill Maher.
