According to a survey commissioned by Alpro, a British company that specializes in plant-based dairy alternatives, more UK consumers are replacing the meat- and dairy-laden foods typical of a standard British diet with fruits and vegetables. The survey found that four out of 10 British consumers say they currently eat more plant-based foods than they did last year, and six out of 10 say they eat more plant-based foods than they did five years ago. Though this trend was visible across all age groups, it was particularly pronounced among people between the ages of 18 and 30, with more than half of young consumers revealing that they have increased their produce intake in the past year.
