Paypal and Tesla Motors co-founder and billionaire Elon Musk is imagining a future for humans on another planet—and his vision is meat-free. According to rt.com, Musk, a private space entrepreneur, is currently in the process of conceptualizing an 80,000-person colony on Mars, which would begin construction as soon as technology is advanced enough for space tourism. The settlement would be developed with maximum sustainability, serviced by liquid oxygen- and methane-powered rockets and with an all-vegetarian ideology. Space life does have its price, however—the cost of traveling to the city from Earth would be roughly $500,000 per person.
