After releasing horrifying footage of cruelty, nine employees—including two managers—at Wyoming Premium Farms are being charged. In April 2012, an undercover investigator working on behalf of The Human Society of the United States discovered terrible animal abuses at Wyoming Premium Farms in Wheatland, WY, documenting abuses including sick piglets being swung from their hind legs and pregnant sows being struck in the face with paddles. The investigator documented the abuses such as sick piglets swung from their hind legs and pregnant sows being struck in the face with paddles. In the state of Wisconsin, abuse to animals can lead to two years in prison and a possible $5,000 fine. “We are thankful that Wyoming has laws in place to address this senseless cruelty, and we hope that law enforcement’s action will deter further abuse on factory farms,” says Adam Parascandola, director of animal cruelty response for HSUS.
