Welterweight champion Timothy Bradley Jr., who has been vegan since 2008, recently talked about the athletic benefits of abstaining from animal products, and how going cruelty-free gives him the energy to keep fighting through the last round. “I feel totally superior over any athlete who gets into the ring with me,” says Bradley to BoxingScene.com. “My senses and reflexes are so acute. It’s an incredible feeling.” The vegan boxer reported that he gets his meals delivered to him by the Palm Greens Café, a local eatery that has a smoothie named after him, “The Bradley Ultra Greens,” which has kale, spinach, apple, ginger, mint, and banana. Bradley will put his reflexes and energy to the test on October 12, when he faces off against Juan Manuel Marquez in a championship match.
