This Saturday, Chef Sylvanna Mislang will host a five-course vegan pop-up dinner at an undisclosed location in Sacramento; tickets will cost $70 and guests are encouraged to bring their own alcoholic beverages, reports The Sacramento Bee. Mislang, who worked at the now-closed Blackbird restaurant, will be crafting plant-based fare using produce that she’s handpicked from local urban farm Rocking TH. “This is a farm-to-fork conception,” said Mislang to the Bee. “I’m actually going there and actually harvesting the food and then producing something for everybody. It’s quite exciting.” While she wouldn’t say what dishes she would be preparing, she did note that she wanted to create something out of the ordinary that utilized seasonal flavors and brought color to patrons’ plates.
