In an attempt to end animal cosmetics testing, a slew of celebrities have joined The Humane Society of the United States’ Be Cruelty-Free Week, which kicked off on March 11. Ke$ha, Colbie Caillat, and Michael Vartan are some of the newest recruits to join Paul McCartney, Riceky Gervais, and Chrissie Hynde to speak out. “True beauty doesn’t come from cruelty,” says Ke$ha. “That’s why I want to see an end to the testing of cosmetics and personal care products on helpless animals.” The general public seems to agree with the celebrities, and a recent poll revealed that 72 percent of women are against animal testing and a majority of them think it should be outlawed.
