Texas Vegan Café Celebrates One-Year Anniversary
Following a successful first year, Green Seed Vegan of Houston has plans to expand.
March 26, 2013
Green Seed Vegan prepared its cruelty-free fare while cruising the streets of Houston, TX before landing a brick-and-mortar location in the city’s Third Ward neighborhood thanks to a Kickstarter campaign. The evolution from Space City’s first-ever vegan food truck to compassionate restaurant has taken course over the last year, gaining a cult-like following in the process. With a new menu in the works, the eatery-plus-elixir-bar will still serve up its gourmet sandwiches and fresh-pressed juices that have enticed celebrities such as athlete Arian Foster and Houston-area TV anchors. Owners Matti Merrell and Rodney Perry announced plans for two new locations in 2013 as well as possible openings in Austin and Dallas.
