The weekly podcast, produced by animal-welfare nonprofit Our Hen House, was recently recognized by the Webby Awards as an official honoree. The podcast was started in 2010, and is nominated alongside big name organizations such as NPR, Scientific American, and Canadian Broadcasting Company. Recorded and edited by Jasmin Singer and Mariann Sullivan of Our Hen House, the podcast features interviews with movers and shakers of the vegan community as well as in-depth discussions on animal rights. The nonprofit aims to bring an end to animal cruelty and introduce compassionate living to the mainstream. “This kind of recognition is a dream come true, especially because it means that the world is waking up to what’s going on with animals,” says Singer and Sullivan on ourhenhouse.org.
