According to BBC’s futuristic program News 2050, halfway through the 21st century, bio-printed meat will be the main course on everyone’s dinner table. The show’s news anchor reports that, “A government panel including the UN Secretary for Science … has concluded that the suffering and slaughtering of farm animals can no longer be tolerated in modern society.” Instead, all meat will be artificially manufactured and bioprinters will soon be available for homes. This led to a 10 percent increase in the shares of a Patty Print, a future Apple subsidiary, reports the fictional news program.
