Vegan bakery Papa Ganache of Matawan, NJ recently beat out confectionary competitors from across the nation to be recognized as the Food Network’s newest Cupcake Wars winner. Two vegan bakeries made it to the final round, but Papa Ganache won the judges over with a crème brulée cupcake, chocolate ganache and salted caramel cupcake, the unusual Brussel-carrot curry cupcake topped with cream cheese frosting and maple-curry reduction, and the gluten-free lemon cupcake with blackberry and lemon-thyme filling. The bakery won $10,000 and was given the chance to serve its baked goods at the People’s Choice Awards after party.
