Vegan food blog Plant Based on a Budget celebrates its one-year anniversary this month. The website, a collaboration between seven contributors, features a collection of simple, affordable recipes for the everyday cook with easy, five-ingredient sides such as Sweet and Salty Tofu Bites to slightly more involved entrée such as the Spicy Tofu with Sichuan Pepper dinner. Recipes include a rubric detailing difficulty level, cost per serving, and average member rating of each dish. To commemorate its first year online, the blog is giving away treats from a number of vegan vendors including VegNews, Sweet & Sara, Herbivore Clothing Company, and Chicago Vegan Foods.
